From the record The Remains of Sunday. I wrote this song while my wife was pregnant with our second child, our daughter Cadence, who just turned 4. The song is a response to the realities I imagine women will face as they grow up in our world. It’s a hope that youth can prevail over the realities of modern life… that machine that devours innocence.
The little boy in this video is our son Isaac.
The Mountain
From the record The Remains of Sunday, this video was filmed at our local hangout, coincidentally called ‘The Mountain House’. It features the entire band, and all the locals who live up here on the mountain with us. This is the same bar where Neil Young filmed his 1993 video for Harvest Moon.
